PDS which most recently achieved a revenue of $1B.Job Description: For our sourcing office in Istanbul, we are searching for a new team member in the Merchandising Team. Key responsibilities include coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers and ensuring timely delivery of products.



Key Responsibilities
Product / Sample Development Activities Follow-up / Coordination with PD Department / Buyers / counterparts for sampling and production Effective communication with customer, vendor and within the different departments of the organization Utilize expertise in various fabric types, with a strong focus on denim Maintain a constant and strict follow-up with all vendors on the actual manufacturing status of all orders, alerting the senior management of the factory of any potential problems / delays that will negatively impact the confirmed x-factory date. Conduct price negotiation with all vendors in order to ensure that most competitive market prices are obtained. Build and maintain a strong working relationship with all vendors, work closely with all company colleagues in the headquarters. Provide advice and suggestion to facilitate cost-saving in the purchasing process. Observe market trends and the buying activities of our competitors

Eligibility and Qualifications: +10 years of relevant professional experience in the textile industry
Experienced with product category of denims
Excellent negotiation and communication skills with buyers
Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Capable of working effectively both in a team and under pressure
Willingness to visit suppliers as needed Proficiency in MS Office and merchandise management systems
Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of German is a plus
