Hilton Istanbul Airport will open its doors in 2025.
Hilton İstanbul Airport will be the first Hilton brand at the Airport zone in Türkiye with 491 rooms and three F&D venues.
We are looking for the Learning and Development Manager for this unique property
What will I be doing?
As a Learning and Development Manager, specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
• Creating and coordinating the annual training budget.
• Analyzing the hotel's training needs, preparing, monitoring, and coordinating the required annual training plan within budgetary constraints based on job requirements, departmental training plans, and performance evaluations.
• Regularly organizing and monitoring orientation training for new team members in accordance with the standards.
• Providing advice to management in establishing specific training and development goals and assisting to them.
• Coordinating and evaluating externally-sourced training programs and presenting them to management.
• Regularly organizing a 60-Day Orientation Program, and additionally providing team members with training in accordance with standards, while observing their progress over a 4-week period.
• By monitoring market trends and innovations in the hospitality industry, providing new training programs and workshops to management, and to follow-up.
• Tracking accurate training records for all team members.
• Publishing Global English and Hilton University monthly reports.
• Following up leadership programs at all levels.
• Promoting, motivating and leading internal training program evaluations and certification process. Keeping training booklets and checklists up to date.
• Coordinating and supporting for internship and development programs (including MDP).
• Planning and following up cross trainings within and outside of the hotel.
• Supporting regional learning activities when necessary and take active role at events; e.g., fair etc.
• Attending Quality Meetings regularly.
• Working with the Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, ensuring hotel’s occupational health and safety compliance with regulations and laws, organizing Occupational Health and Safety meetings, and coordinating the implementation of decisions at the hotel level.
• Being personally responsible for Brand Quality Audits (QA Audit), on behalf of the Human Resources Department, providing all necessary documents for the audit.
• Coordinating all necessary training and related documentations on behalf of the Human Resources Department during inspections by the Ministry of Tourism and other external audits, as being personally responsible for the Human Resources Department during the inspections.
• Ensuring the effectiveness of the relationships between all team employees.
• Plays an active role with the HR Team in the planning, organization and coordination of team member motivation activities.
• Plays an active role with the HR Team in the planning, organization and coordination of all corporate surveys such as Team Member Survey, Cafeteria Survey, Great Place to Work Survey etc.
• Having an active role in the performance evaluation process and ensures coordination of the process for all hotel employees.
• Determining the learning and development needs of team members by examining the results of Team Member performance evaluations.
