QA/QC Manager for a Construction Project in Benghazi - Libya

Experience Required: 15+ years in QA/QC roles in large-scale construction projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Control Plan and ensure compliance with standards and client specifications.
• Lead and oversee all QA/QC activities on-site, including inspections, testing, and material approvals.
• Liaise with the consultant to resolve any issue at the site about the quality of the work.
• Preparation & submission of Method Statement (MS) & Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), Monthly QA/QC Reports, and Project KPI Reports.
• Lead and ensure that the construction teams are aware of the checking and testing criteria prior to starting any activity at the site.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and performance standards.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and clients to resolve quality issues.
• Manage quality audits and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.
• Liaise with the consultant for the closure of NCRs.
• Mentor and guide QA/QC teams to maintain high-quality standards across all project phases.
• Preparing all Civil, Architectural, and MEP inspections, including material inspections.
• Prepare training plan for different trades before activity starts at the site.
• Ensure all inspections at the site are running as per ITP.
• Ensure that all the testings are being conducted as per the approved method statement & ITP.
• Monitor all the tools and equipment at the site that need calibration.
• Raise internal NCRs
• Record snagging & de snagging works for architectural, MEP & ID finish.
• Preparing Handing-over documents for the project.
• Maintain all QA/QC-related records as per the project quality plan and IMS system.
• Liaise with the corporate QHSE Dept for the preparation of any Internal or external audits.

Requirements:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 15+ years of experience in QA/QC management roles in large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, BS EN Standards, ACI).
• Proven experience in managing QA/QC for infrastructure, commercial, or residential projects.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Good English and, oral and writing skills. Basic Arabic would be an asset.
