ENGLISH TEACHER- ESL & CAMBRIDGE PRIMARY CURRICULUM.

ESL teachers for Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary and High School, open to teach at any named Level.

Details: We are looking for English Teachers for PETEK KOLEJİ.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (in a related field like Education, Linguistics or English Literature Degree given top priority)
Qualification in English Language Teaching. + (TEFL,TESOL,CELTA...for foreigners)
Have a pedagogical formation.
*In accordance with the Turkish Education System, from the 2021 academic year, all foreign teachers must present their UNıVERSıTY DIPLOMA EQUIVALENCE given by the Education Ministry of Turkey. 
*Foreigners must have an active residence permit ( so that the School can apply for the Work Permit)

1. Have MEB appointment criteria. Document equivalence authorized by the Turkish Education Ministry.
2. Last 2 Schools’ REFERENCE LETTER and former HOD’s telephone number.
3. Military Status(men): Completed.
4. Minimum of 2 years experience working at Turkish Private Schools.
5. Good at social relations, communication skills and team work.
6. For Foreigners, Turkish Language knowledge is a plus.
7. Excellent skills command; Reading, Writing, Speaking.
8. Energetic, active, patiente, creative, cooperative, friendly.
9. Be punctual.
10. Open to learn and share knowdlegde .
11. To be familiar with CAMBRIDGE preparatory exams.

Typical responsibilities of the job include:

1. Be familiar with PRIVATE SCHOOLS education/ currIculum-system
2. Planning lessons and preparing teaching materials.
3. Weekly Lesson Plans will be requested for individual lessons.
4. Weekly general performance reports.
5. School Guarding duty days.
6. Willing to respect and follow the School’s CURRICULUM - PACING.
7. Paperwork; OFFICIAL and related to the INTERNAL School Docs. & English Department.
8. Preparing and setting tests, examination papers and worksheets; following the School Yearly Plan carefully.
9. Willing to participate and collaborate with any levels of the Eng. Dep. Curriculum assessment and extra activities related to the Department.
10. Willing to be in close communication with parents throughout the academic year.
11. The teacher must be familiar with technology, smart boards, MS Office programs(Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft PowerPoint) & interactive platforms.
12. Keeping student registers and attendance records.
13. Checking and assessing students' performance & homework.
14. Helping students improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills via individual and group sessions. (ETÜT)
15. Willing to organize activities, projects, trips, etc. with the students.
16. Experience in coordinating meaningful extra/co-curricular activities.

8. PROJECTS: SPELLING BEE, PENPAL, PUBLIC SPEAKING, story telling, eTwinning, ETC.
9. COOKING, ART & CRAFT, DIY PROJECTS AND CLUBS
10. DUTY DAYS (nöbet günu)
11. CAMBRIDGE PREPARATORY EXAMS: STARTERS, MOVERS, FLYERS, KEY, PET….

WORKING DAYS:
MONDAY TO FRIDAY 08:15 – 17:30
SATURDAY: 8:30 TO 12:30
