Job Description
We are currently seeking the Director of Human Resources for the Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus, a distinctive luxury hotel.
What will I be doing?
In addition to assisting with the Human Resources strategy, the Director of Human Resources is tasked with delivering exceptional team member relations services to the General Manager and management team, ensuring that employee relations are supported and that team member training requirements are met. In particular, you will be accountable for the following responsibilities, which must be completed to the utmost standards:
• Provide and deliver first-class Team Member Relations services to General Manager and management team
• Assist General Manager with Human Resources strategy including succession planning for team members
• Cooperate with cross-functional regional leadership both in Türkiye and head office on entire HR Operations to include, but not limited to, recruitment, disciplinary and legal processes, compensation and benefits, performance, recognition, satisfaction strategies for hotel, cluster, regional and corporate team members
• Responsible for country-wide processes including data maintenance & audit on HR systems, compensation and benefits, and HR analytics
• Provide assistance, guidance and counselling to the management and line team members in order to maximize the quality and professionalism of the hotel team members by listening and interpreting concerns and objectives and seeking solutions
• Plan and forecast the short and long-term talent requirements for the hotel to support its business plans
• Maintain a best practice recruitment approach, including the Company's vacancy management system, to attract the best applicants
• Build a strong career and succession planning system to retain and develop talent
• Implement training and development strategies to continuously improve performance and customer service
• Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel and departmental policies and execute necessary actions when needed
• Provide a framework for counselling, coaching, welfare services, and team member benefits
• Plan and manage Team Member Recognition Calendar
• Ensure pay reviews/absence monitoring/wage queries are managed in line with company guidelines
• Make sure team member food, lockers, back of the house are up to Hilton standards
• Manage and resolve, promptly and completely, all team member relations issues

• 5+ years of relevant previous professional HR experience in an international hotel
• Solid experience within a global organizational structure on team member recruitment, retention, satisfaction, recognition, and performance management
• Deep understanding of organizational development, change management and working with leaders from all levels
• Skills in coaching team members from all levels working on-site, hybrid and remote
• Thorough knowledge of Turkish Labour Law, regulations, payroll cycle, and others hr related plans such as medical insurance and individual pension plan (BES)
• Track record of leading team member relations, community relations including social responsibility projects and employment projects with universities and local schools
• Ability to use variety of programs to include, but not limited to, Office 365 programs, attendance control systems, payroll systems, etc.
• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service, both internally and externally
• Professional language proficiency in Turkish and English
